Not in Michigan but just over the border so it is included.

Despite having the 2nd longest coastline in the U.S.A (Alaska has the longest), Michigan has no official, public, nude beaches nor really any private ones outside of perhaps Turtle Lake Resort largely because naturists haven't been well enough organized nor politically active to convince the powers-that-be to authorize any.  So be sure to join and help out.  Volunteers are how public nude beaches in some other states and provinces have been developed.

Following are two nude beaches in Ontario.  If you know of a beach in Michigan that would qualify (i.e. reasonably accessible, safe, and harrassment free), please let us know.

PORT BURWELL PROVINCIAL PARK

On Lake Erie, a surprisingly lovely, sandy beach and good swimming. The clothing-optional area is west of the official park boundary, which has a busy day-use area with plenty of clothed swimmers. Walk 15 minutes west from parking lot 5, and you'll cross over onto private land, where nude sunbathing and swimming is OK .

HANLAN'S POINT

Designated a clothing-optional beach in 1999 by  the city of Toronto and maintained by their parks department, it has the expected amenities of a public beach.  Nudity allowed only in the designated area.  The beach is on one of the islands which is accessed by ferry.
